No way. Nowhere to connect the vent pipes. Body coloured steel rocker covers is the way forward. What's letting the engine bay down is traces of blue here and there :) |

I'm running in in terms that it's wired up, connected and the ecu supports it, but haven't gone near it yet in terms of enabling the feature. Isn't the hard thing working out the knock frequency for the old aseries?

I'll be interested to see how you get on with the knock sensors. Did the MPI's ever have one fitted? I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Yes, you can specify the start and duration of the window and as I shall be running sequential, I can set individual cylinder timing retard. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

Triple widebands installed ready to start the wiring. From the photo I assume you have also gone for one after the turbo ? Are the LSUs 4.2 or 4.9 ? (they look like 4.2 from the cable entry but I assume this is for use with the LC-2s you have which can be configured for either). Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

I don't know what version they are. I don't need to know, do I? They came with the MTX-Ls I bought years ago. No, you don't need to know if you just rely on the Innovate hardware but it would just be useful to know for some of us which you have installed because of the pressure / temperature dependencies we've talked about in the past between the 4.2 and 4.9 in terms of where you have yours installed. I'll post some more later on another thread (rather than say any more on your one) about the differences and the issues of the Innovate hardware and 4.2 vs 4.9. Paul, are you wrapping the manifold as well as the turbo? Not this time, it's too much of a messy job and makes loads of smoke on first start. I've just blanketted the turbo to protect the bonnet. Also, I've cut lots of holes in the inner wing to get rid of the heat, so that may not be such an issue.
