Yeah thinking of opting for the monoblock, big chunk of cash though - Guess it's worth spending on brakes.

I love the GB's but not sure they are staying yet.. Might opt for something from force racing, staying with 10's though.

And thanks again for the kind comments, didn't really have any garage time this weekend and I'm also busy next week.. Really want to get this project moving on now!

Work depending I might pop in during the week.

Small update, I'm not really against the clock with this so just taking my time and doing odd bits when I have free time.

Not a lot to show, but I've run the loom through the car and have the back end assembled bar the tank etc. 70's rear lights, black lamp - nothing revelotutionary but neat and clean looking.

I've also built the doors, glass, winders and a set of downton mirrors in brushed alloy. My guess is they won't be much use but I love the look.

Front headlights are on and I've done some other small jobs at the front end. The biggest addition is the custom exhaust manifold and link pipe, it really is a great job (built by Matty from TM) after a lot of discussion measuring and research I'm well happy.

A few pics.

I might start the wiring next, depends if I can decide what instruments to go for.. This is the mess behind my last dash I need to sort - that should be fun :)

Cheers Mark.

Update time, sorry it's been ages, life has been very busy so this has taken a back seat. But I'm back on it now, and have done a few bits since the last update.

Since then the following has been worked on

All glass fitted
Headlining in
Rear seats mocked up
Mount for the pedal box refined and fitted
All wiring being tested and mock fitted
Fuel lines run, pump fitted and tested
Radiator and header tank mocked up
Gear linkage changed from the bar to cable setup
Engines started to test if it would fire

Following the engine test I had 2 issues, a bad earth that turned out to be the battery earth but of course I checked everything else first! Then oil pressure problems. I ended up pulling the sump and checking there as I modded the pickup, but that was fine. Then changed the oil pump (should have done that with then engine out) but that's wasn't the issue either.. Turned out to be a drain in the filter that needed plugging.. But I now have good oil presure!

Next I have an engine mount to make as I had to remove the back one to fit the cable gear selector. Then refit the exhaust down pipe.

Then fit the calipers and order some wheels. I'm thinking grp2 arches and 10x6 D4's from specialist components.

Some pics to document progress. Thanks Mark

Top mount gear selector mock up (how fully fitted and functioning)
