Looks like the metro turbo solenoid valve, has it got 2 spade connectors on the other side? Blow down the pipe, it should be closed, Give one 12v, the other earthed and then blow again, should be able to blow through if its working.

It's a solenoid. Opens or closes when you put 12v across it. looks like a factory one from a metro turbo. They used them for boost control. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

When reassembling the clutch end I came across this horror, the original flywheel bolt hadnt had the tabs knocked over and was only finger tight.

Ordered a new sump plug with an extra long magnet to pick up all those nasty metal filings from the new rings and bearings. Unfortunately I failed to realise the gearbox has been re threaded.

Yeah I was thinking of I was thinking of using araldite, I just want to be sure it won't get hot and fall into the gearbox should be fine tho. |

Got engine turning over and my oil pressure up today thought id film it because I'm a bit of an anorak.

The oil return was a rite pain I had to get down and dirty on the floor. Stupid pipe just wouldn't go on. |
