Looks like the metro turbo solenoid valve, has it got 2 spade connectors on the other side? Blow down the pipe, it should be closed, Give one 12v, the other earthed and then blow again, should be able to blow through if its working.

You don't need it really

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

It's a solenoid. Opens or closes when you put 12v across it. looks like a factory one from a metro turbo. They used them for boost control.

When reassembling the clutch end I came across this horror, the original flywheel bolt hadnt had the tabs knocked over and was only finger tight.

As a result the flywheel boss has wobbled and got extremely hot, if looks like it had welded itself.

Ordered a new sump plug with an extra long magnet to pick up all those nasty metal filings from the new rings and bearings. Unfortunately I failed to realise the gearbox has been re threaded.

I need to somehow attach the magnet to the old plug.

Drill a hole in the new bolt and epoxy the thing in there!
