Really stuck between choosing 7" or 6.5" exactons, do you know anyone that has driven the 7s with 165s and liked the way it behaves?

Are you going turbo?

If so i would go with a better offset, the exactons give a huge scrub angle which will increase torque steer massively.

So these width rims give bad torque steer?? Is there a noticeable difference goin from 7's to 6's?

Absolutely the very clubby kean is rebuilding in this thread i had on 13x6 and handled alot better than the one i had on 13x7 (exact same tyres)
Although its more to do with the offset the 7 inch wide ones tend to have the whole inch sticking further out

Edit: oh torque steer imo torque steer is due to poor suspension settup ( mainly corner weights) but the wheels will exadurate it also the wider wheels tend to wander all over the white lines lol

Not much progress as other stuff is getting in the way, but work is slowly coming on. Radiator is mounted but don't have any pics of that. Lots of time spent trying to get the front fit right but hopefully it will be worth it.

Front arches have brackets bonded on, and clear the wheels ok.

Lots more to do!

The fit around scuttle looks very impressive... is your bonnet a tight fit? I have 2 of the same front.. ones very tight bonnet wise

Work on the car has been a bit sporadic this year because as per Andy's prediction (a few pages back), the missus and I are expecting our first child in a few weeks..

This has put a little pressure on getting the car in paint before baby comes otherwise it'll not get done for years. As such I have had a bit of a mad few weeks cracking on, will let the photos do the talking:
