When building an extra VR circuit on the prototype area it might be worthwhile looking at the max9924 as this IC only needs very few external components and is therefor easy to build on the proto area. Has anybody ever used this IC?

So it's not usable on the proto area and even if you were to have a board made, it's not for the novice solderer. I do have a board which uses the dual-circuit version (MAX9926) (amongst a host of other things) and while I still need to test it with many different setups, it is a very interesting chip because it has a differential input and can also be used with a 5V square wave signal such as a Hall or opto sensor. if it helps im no expert but im pretty adept at building circuit boards and wiring its mainly the programming that im worried about also if there some thing i dont understand i research it an teach my self it :) ive read the entirety of vizards book so i could learn the specifics of a-series tuning, love that book, i dont as yet know exactly know which version of ms i have but my uncle is a bit of a gadget nut and chances are he bought the latest one fingers crossed . so thank you for you advice but dont let me take up your time |

Jean, Have you ever thought about using this chip in a cable moulding with connectors on each side ready to use? One would expect there would be a demand for this. regards Will Actually, I have thought of something like that. Jean |
