This is looking very nice, dont know how I missed it! Door handles ar a nice touch.

Are the brake pipes custom as well. Need something similar to run through near the rear beam on mine.

Idle will npt be any different than before. It idled nicely at 1100-1200rpm then. Efi helps matters when it comes to that

The engine will still have the 300 degree inlet, 292 exhaust cam, 12:1 CR and be 1343 cc. What is different though, is a turbocharger, which will be sidemount, and that the engine will be run on E85 fuel.

The charger of choice is a COMPturbo unit, custom made for my engine. Normally they would specify the CT2 compressor housing, but they are actually thinking about using a CT3 compressor housing together with a custom impellor, as it is a generally better housing. Seems huge though!

And idling is gonna be 4K rpm *surprised* ???

All the plumbing is custom from think auto. I have assembled it myself.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

All the plumbing is still custom, and leak free, I have brakes! Not finished strapping the plumbing to the car though.

Also sorted a very effective single wiper on the front using a modern wipermotor, wiperarm and wiper. Mixed parts, some from Rover and some from Opel.

Wire to cut of switch is done, and the car is on wheels. Loads of small details sorted.

The bottle mounted inside the car in a bike bottle holder is window washing liquid.

I have also completed the gearbox.

tyres on:

these have a slighty large profile compared to the ones I will use, but they where cheap and nice to use to get the car on the wheels.

I need to get some softer springs in the rear, and some weight on the front to get the car to be a bit less "all terrain" like :)

Thanks guys!

There is more than one screw missing. The cwp, diff and splash tray are yet to be fitted, but the gears them selves are fitted and shimmed.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

This car really does come with all the bells and whistles.

Did that crank start life as an a+ item or is it a reworked forged jobbie?

the house have been put somewhat on hold due to idiotic carpenters....

So I have started to think about this once again. I have now decided on the turbo and that is ordered together with a water cooled external wastegate.

The turbo ended up being a compturbo CT2. The compressor side of it is comparable to the following Garrets, T04B, GT30, GT2860RS, GT2871R.

I have ordered it with a .6 compressor AR and a 50 mm 14/7 billet compressor wheel.

The turbine is 54 mm constant OD (inducer and exducer is the same) 10 blade thingy. The housing is .48 AR.

Triple ceramic bearing in an aluminium center housing. the turbo weights 5.9 kg.

I will post some pictures when I get it. It should produce the goods we think :)
