I think I will be in attendance this year. Im really toying with going on the track (if insurance permits) slightly unsure on account of not knowing how the event will be ran, and never been on the track before, would anyone advise against it? Is it an event that you just turn up and drive, sorry if these sound like stupid questions?
Cheers

You bring your car, yourself and your driving license. Then you pay your money and line up, your car will need scutinising, but they basically push the brake pedal, check that the battery is fixed down and that your overflow on the rad goes into a catch tank (most people wedge a coke can somewhere for the weekend.

Your insurance won't cover you whilst at the event.

Highly recommended - lots of fun, gets the adrenaline going. Don't worry about insurance, you're only going in a straight line for a quarter of a mile as quick as possible and then drive slowly back down a little bumpy lane.

At the risk of sounding even more dense is just a rwyb event 1/4mile, is there no track racing? (was under the impression that it was, hense why I was questioning my insurance, as my policy covers me for track use (conditions apply))
Cheers
