Today I got up nice and early and got a lot of work done on the engine, now it’s almost good to go back in the car! But there is one thing that I can’t get my head around. When I fitted the flywheel it looked like it would not go all the way on, I have taken some pics to see what you think.

Should the crank and flywheel not be flush? I have had a go at putting the bolt on and doing it up, I have also cleaned the nose with some sand paper. It’s out about 3 or 4mm.

Thanks for your help simon.

Have you got a picture of what you did to the NS engine mount?

The weight savings are really adding up there!

Well it's been a long time since I looked at the car. Last day I had on it I got the eng in, then I had to go on a promotiom course with work in south Wales. I am hoping to get some work done on it at weekends so I can get to Brooklands this year. I just need to recover from some mild frost nip in my finger tips and big toes *oh well*

Also the tool fairy called whilst I have been working away*smiley* just need to go and collect my new roll cab.

Yes mate, I am on this course to the end of march but the hard part is over now so I will not be sleeping all weekend anymore, so now I can start finishing it.

Sort of an update,,, last night a mate text me to ask if I would like to go to Newquay this year as he has a caravan with space, so that’s 5 weeks to get the car working. Also there has been some new toys in the man cave! At Christmas I got a Very Good deal on a roll cab, so its been sat around my mate’s place to this week *happy*

Just fits *surprised*

Anyway I got some time and made these up tomorrow I am hoping to have a full day on the car I hope I can remember where I left off lol.

Thanks simon.
