its easy done when its a long term project. do expect ridicule now for quite some time!

so today i took the mini for a joyride up and down the garden,


held the revs up at 5k and gently stepped off the clutch to
test out the awd system, it spins up all 4 wheels well

built its first boost, 5.5psi from the logs !!
popped its first hose
got the alternator charging the battery now
done a few other bits and eyeballed that exhaust again

i did a full relay check on the ecu everything works as intended,
VTEC officially kicked in YO !!
turns out though vtec does not like to kick in at idle hahaha

Joe i cant find the exact injector i bought lol im sure they just said alternative fuels e85 and methanol

Steve these are low impedance and from tre performance usa im sure they are re branded maybe re manufactured bosch
More importantly 'should' fit my weird sized rails

This is gonna be insane down the strip, what kind of power you hoping for Brett and what's the engine spec? i've looked through but couldn't see it

Ultimate goal of 1bhp per kg ( expecting around 700 )
Stage one spec ( now ) is standard internals 1.8vtec gt30 turbo and supporting mods... ive heard rumours 500bhp is possible but if it reaches 350-400 comfortably on the dyno it will stay there
Stage 2 will be the same engine forged pistons forged rods im fancying darton mid sleaves larger turbo ( possibly holset hx40) . Abit of head work and some cams
But stage 2 comes after im happy with the car or it blows up whichever comes first

The clutch will be sorted next as its probably going to be the most expensive single part i have bought so far :(

What sort of times do you think each stage will produce?

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

If it runs straight down the track ill be happy
Then the development can start, the whole drivetrain, suspension , subframe , rear arms and drive shafts are custom made
I will start off running 5.5psi boost and creap it up
Staying safe is main goal im not gonna lie it scares me

Id like 14s on first day.. atleast i can then start where i left off.... id like a single figure 9.99?

I think easily hit that! This sounds the most extreme monster mini ever

so the injectors are here ( might have said earlier a ive had them months )

also i went for a competition clutch, stage 5 and a 4 paddle clutch
body panels also welded back in,
i had secret intentions of taking this to mitp but as ive just bought my house i have no time for mini play :/

Been out to it, took the bonnet off looked at it and then re fitted the bonnet

so as you can tell im a little bit further on with it
