that's not a bad idea, think this rad isn't quite wide enough for 2 fans though

1 fan on a stat should be sufficient, that looks like a sizable radiator.

Is that not what the stat will do?

My Rad setup has a stat fitted to it, it only comes on when i am sat for a bit like at the lights, but when i get going its fine as it keeps nice and cold when on the move.

I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.

its an ebay special, it should fit fine...

I took a pic of it next to a metro rad and there's not a huge difference in size, ill hopefully have it fitted in the next few weeks

just to show the room I got for the rad.. looks like plenty to me?

made a start on my bulkhead... it was looking pretty bad!

after some primer

ignore the stupid amount of overspray, subby is going to be repainted anyway

while the first coat was drying I cleaned up the solid mounts and put some grip tape on a pedal.. ha

also found some nice master cylinders in the garage that i might aswell use

then I got bored and decided to get back in the warm

Nice work, really like this. But are you going to put the plate under the master cylinders?

It's there so you get the right amount of pedal travel and to catch the brake fluid when you spill it...

Im not going to be using a plate under my cylinders. Personally I can't see an issue with pedal travel, and for the sake of being carefull once every few years putting some fluid in its worth the weight saving.

thanks for the comments guys

ive not really done much apart from spraying my new bumpers and mirrors, and fit a new grille...

but now I've done that I need to see if I can get something done about my rad

its tighter than a nuns doo dar! even my little denso alternator doesn't really fit (it will but with a couple off mm of space) and I really don't know about the starter motor

my mate and I were thinking about maybe modding the wok cover so you could put the starter on the other side? but I dont think its going to be possible

and for clearance on the front I dont want to cut my front end about, and still want to run a grill ( I know you can have it all, but gotta try)

cheers

I know i commented on the other forum, but anyway, i think you will be out of options unless you can either relocate the alternator or cut some of the front end.

You will have to bring the rad out more, if you do it right it will look fine.

Can the rad not come up and a little more vertical? Also to the right (if looking front on) a little more?

Rotate your starter, that will get the solenoid out of the way. All you need to do is redrill the transfer housing, and notch a bit out of the bit that sits around the gear on the starter.

a fan shouldn't be to bad, if I can get a suck fan between the rad and block... somewhere? once the dizzy is gone that might free up some room.

ive seen on some se7ens/miglias, that they have moved the oil filter etc, is it worth doing that?
