Got some cap heads coming with some spring washers.

For the one at 7oclock I'm going to have to cut it down short as poss and maybe slot the hole a little. If it grabs a few threads its better than nothing.

And don't get too exited yours is Sig. worthy too *happy*

It's just a normal dash wrapped in carbon fibre stuff, make sure you buy the 3m stuff everything else is shit.

had a couple of hours tonight, got my downpipe finished and did a little porting on the manifold and wastegate.

few pictures.

manifold has already been ported, knife edged dividers etc, just needed some final matching to the gasket.

before.

after, the gasket was just hanging from two m8 bolts so has just dropped down a little

and my ported wastegate, did not get a before shot, but measured just under 14mm, now measures 19.75x20mm, should do the job. pictures arent the best, but its been opened up all the way inside.

few pictures, my new quick release, quality peice of kit, brings the wheel out bit, but isnt too bad, will tell for sure when i drive the car, may need to go for a flat steering wheel.

got my engine in today, as usual nothing went to plan, infact had a nightmare, engine went in and out twice, but got there in the end, few pics of where im upto.

did a bit of grinding today etc, getting my (johns) intercooler to fit, mine will hopefully be here in the week. going to need to drill and re tap my starter moter. but just fitted it and screwed in the grill, and it bent the grill frame, but kept the slats straight, so cannot even tell its spaced out.

not done that much really, just fitted my carb plenum etc, but ordered some paint from jawel, cant recommend them enough, finish is not great as you exect from rattle cans, but colour match is great, which is all im after for the moment, just until i can get some money together for a proper job. bonnet, drivers side wing and centre of scuttle is painted.

and how much my grill is spaced out, its barely noticable, especially with the mk3 bonnet on.

just needs a good clean

Pikey is the only way in Donny lol, tbh it was just a temp idea to see how much it needed spacing, but it works well so will probably stay.

I reconise that mod to the starter motor mounts.

I have a patent on that...you'll have a letter from my solicitor any day now. *hehe!*

Did you grind a little bit out of the gear shroud on the starter, so it doesn't catch on the teeth on the ring gear?

Benny have you got any pics of how you did your oil cooler pipes at the filter housing. I've got the sandwich plate but can't decide how to connect the pipes to the plate so looking for ideas to nic lol

Ah I thought I'd ask, as I did the same and nearly didn't notice either until refitting the wok.

Craig, I don't have an oil cooler, the braided pipe you see just connects to the filter housing, its just undone so I could get the drill in to re-drill the starter. The sandwich plate is just being used for oil pressure gauge

It's getting there slowly but surely, its only a days work to bolt everything up, I just have no real motivation, I think once I receive my shiny custom alloy intercooler, it will spur me on. I have just ordered a load of silicone hose, tube and jubilee cips for the pipework, and a load for my breather set up too.

Craig. I will give you a call in the next couple of days about tig'ing some outlets on my rocker, for breathers.

Craig that's fine, I will have a look how your getting on when I bob through. Rocker is all ready to weld, I can come through one eve/night in the week or weekend, whichever suits you.

Sorted my pipework for the new intercooler
