I hate Danny MacAskill because he makes me feel like shit for even attempting to ride a bike

I've got an XC race tomorrow and for comedy value I'll be competing on my single speed, hopefully the weather will be a bit cooler.

Despite a distinct lack of gears & very dubious brakes I put in a respectable time in the time trial beating my mate on his Whyte Ti19 :) then some how our single speed team came third in the relay, so managed to get on the podeum. However the good luck didn't hold out and my back tyre let got during the endurance so I DNF'd.

Sorry about the poor pic, but it was freezing cold & dark.

Been building this over the past few weeks...

OnOne 456, Marzocchi All mountain 3 forks, Raceface stem/Fireye Bars, hope XC/F519/continental Vertical front, Pro2/D521/Conti Mountain king rear, truvative husslefelt cranks/Middlburn Ring/truvativ BB, Avid Elixr 5 brakes.

Its awesome fun, single speed at the minute as I'm still deciding what cassette/shifter setup to go with. Theres a chain device on the way this week for it too. Its awesome fun, feels effortless on the climbs and hacks through the woods, then drop the seat a bit an the downhill is just as much fun!

Anyone else watch the new McLaren win it's first big race today in it's first competitive outing?

It's a 110x10 stem I had knocking about so I thought I'd put it to use. It's a 20" frame, I'm 6'4" so the stretch feels just about right. It still pulls up nicely thou on the tricky bits but I think thats more down to the bars. I'm thinking about trying an 80mm stem on there thou in the future, just to see how much different it feels.

Flats an 1 finger braking, is there any other way to be?!
