These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Thanks guys ,
pic of whats begind the dash ,

Had a massive power drain ever since i have had the car, found it by mistake , the alternator is warm without the engine running seems to have 12volts going into it all the time.

gonna have to investigate some more, going to rip all the duff wiring out and start again .

Everything i have touched on this car seems to be a problem , getting slightly pissed off now *frown*

far from the advertisement , "mot , rolling road , choke cable and its finished"

And since buying the car the seller wont answer my calls, texts or pm`s , its mine now and its my problem i can live with that , but at least talk to me so i can find out what you have done .

Unfortunately this is a lesson I have also had to learn.
The rules I try to follow now is.

1. Don't buy someone else's project. Your always going to find things you don't like. (unless you plan on breaking it I suppose)

2. If your buying a non standard engine be prepared to strip it and inspect it.

It's a shame Dicanio isn't answering you as I guess he would be able to point you in the right direction.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

It wasnt sold as a project though, that i can understand .
It was sold finished apart from setting up and putting a choke cable on..lol

As i said , its my problem now, but i thought buying from a forum member would have been better than a bloke off ebay .

Oh well onwards and upwards i spose .

I agree, doesn't look to bad at all, but if your fitting a new dash you can guarantee the wires won't be long enough or in the right place, so probably easier to start again.

I,m not really moaning about the wiring , just the problem i have had/got with this car and poor communication with the seller .

to be fair on the guy he's sold it now, to add some balance I wouldnt want to know anymore, and it looks a very tidy build.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

New dash arrived today , must say i have trial fitted it and it seems to fit perfectly., looks very well made and finished properly could just be fitted with no prep at all!
Bought from fleabay £50 plus p&P would recomend it.

going to have it flocked in black, fit some new Smiths custom gauges(made to my spec) which have also arrived .

just got to plan the layout , get some switches and warning lights and hey presto....lol

Thanks to joe (mini13) who i think has cured my major battery drain problem , cheers Joe .
