cheers jeff, yes it goes well.

we had been looking for another set of 13 inch splits for my dads car. been looking for the last couple of years, we picked these up a couple of weeks ago. will strip and refurb them, they should come up nice!

I have clayed the car. I have given it its first coat of paint sealer. this stuff is amazing and the paint has come up really well. I plan to add a few layers over the next few days, then wax it.

hopefully I might be able to get out and about in it next week before the bad weather comes!

cheers mate.

the twin tanks are all up and running without problems. if its filled to the brim and on a slope the right hand tank can leak out of the filler, though I believe that they did this back in the 60s?!

the wheels are image 3 piece splits.

cheers, dan

been a little while since I have done anything on this. my dads mate did a bit of welding to my new intercooler. now fits but is very snug. still a work in progress but will tidy it up as soon as I can.

plan to finish re routing the intercooler pipework, re route the air filter to behind the grill, raise the rev limit a bit, and more boost. hope to head back to the rollers then, hopefully crack my current 160 BHP!

finally got around to fitting this. not run the car since about august, started pretty much first time. need to add some top end revs to the ignition map, maybe up to 8k.

fitted the 4wd cossie ic, it needed a fair bit of persuasion to get the bonnet to fit. also a nic plenum.

need to check the car over, then plan to take it for a run when the weather warms up slightly - it runs pretty lean off boost, cruising normally so the larger ic, moved air filter will hopefully cool the inlet charge further, so need to be careful. also going to up the boost on the road then take it back for a power run. cheers, dan

took this for a spin today. I was having issues with fueling last year - whereby it would be a pain/bog down pulling off, also go lean for a split second when coming on boost, as well as running too lean (rough) when cruising.

the plugs are now gapped properly, also changed the dashpot oil for thicker stuff and it now drives superbly.

so today I just wanted to check out the fueling, the fuel in the tank was 6 month old high octane, I suspect that the rating of this has now dropped. so took it easy for the most part.

the change in the intercooler and air filter position have made a difference -

the car is seriously quicker than it was last year again. I need to get a few more things sorted on this - need to sort the brakes etc before getting a power run on it.

I was going to up the boost but this really is a handful now, so will need to see how things go!

in all, a good day! cheers, dan
