I didn't know they existed, are they an aftermarket item or special custom jobbies?

It decreases the unsprung weight - much better ride - and longer life for the suspension components!

I donated, but somehow didn't get the label! :(

me too! I've heard of people fitting Austin 1750 CVs, but not lighter ones!

If anything, I'm surprised that Carl is asking - he's the one who usually finds a lighter version of eveything!

I donated, but somehow didn't get the label! :(

We should make a list of challenges for Carl to make from titanium....

Although he's done most stuff already. LOL

leeds/wakefield.

ok men enough of the tomfoolery,no pun intended there youg tom,

i just compared the two types,
standard weighed 55 oz, i did in inperial as thats whet my scales are.
and the lightened is 37oz,
and a little bit of maths later it works out at a 33% weight reduction,
now as i use four of these its a good saving , effectively i carry one less,
as for strength,i have been using some on the rear of my car for the last 2 years so make of that what you will .obviously i have had no problems,

i'm not trying to flog a service, but more letting folk know one of my secrets and whats capable if you look at things out side of the box so to speek,

leeds/wakefield.

correction, i threw you all a duffer ,
those calcs are without the balls and cages fitted so the percentage saved will be slightly less,
i have just reassembled and fitted them so cannot weigh one again.
but its still a good saving ,especially in the unsprung weight area,.

whats 18oz in metric, got to be getting on for 500grms surley.

Jim of course i can do them you bloody fool ,
all that crap about no trying to sell something was just that ,crap, lol.

Fairly sure 18oz equals 1 lb equals 454g

I remember you telling me about these last year Carl, ive been very tempted but as I give the car some serious stick on the road Im worried about them breaking under hard cornering load. Obviously the wheel would come off and make a mess.
Paul

I seriously doubt it!
