They've just bought back they're old wheels

Also some turbo fans that just look stupid and at £900 a set I nearly spat my dinner out.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

It forces air through the wheel onto the brakes to aid cooling

Swansea boyo!

Quite funny really considering most of the cars I see with them aren't set up for going anywhere fast haha

Lol.

Seem so pointless. Extra 750g per corner for something that is never going to be needed on a mini.

The wheels are £560

A set of wheels with fans is 1440 (ish)

Definitely a 'look at me' item.

Got to say, i'm a bit bored of most of the standard offerings for minis these days so the turbo fans i think would suit some of the current balls out track style cars.

Warwick.

Be curious to see some of the fans on a car, see if it can be made to "work"

Does anyone actually have that much trouble with hot brakes to warrant the extra weight though? They could maybe look ok.

Im down sizing my brakes next year. I don't feel the 8.2 inch vented discs and KAD calipers are needed. Easily get away with 7.9 and solid discs.

Stop driving like a girl and drive it like you stole it.

When driving hard on the country lanes, your on the brake alot and i started to lose confidence in them afted a good run out. I've upgraded to 10.25" vented disc, not so much for the extra cooling but rather for the lower pedal effort for the same braking force.

Hahaha

I already do, that's what it's for. Not had any issues at brands or goodwood. Even if I did I would just try some different pads or duct some cool air to the brakes. Without adding 1.4kg.

I do have a bit of fun on the lanes but I would never go that fast to get the brakes hotter than on track.

Maybe I'm being a tad harsh on the turbo fins, I just think they're going to be a trailer queens fancy bolt on bit.

hmm, for a fan tis a lot of money, this is somthing that I would expect to be made from genuine carbon fibre (or even fibreglass/ plastic) a 14 kg billet is a bit exxesive for a glorified wheel trim.

my tought is... how long before someone sits on his knees next to his car crying and yelling why! because he kissed the curb with it...

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018
