It forces air through the wheel onto the brakes to aid cooling On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Quite funny really considering most of the cars I see with them aren't set up for going anywhere fast haha

Got to say, i'm a bit bored of most of the standard offerings for minis these days so the turbo fans i think would suit some of the current balls out track style cars. |

Be curious to see some of the fans on a car, see if it can be made to "work" David. |

Does anyone actually have that much trouble with hot brakes to warrant the extra weight though? They could maybe look ok.

Does anyone actually have that much trouble with hot brakes to warrant the extra weight though? They could maybe look ok. Im down sizing my brakes next year. I don't feel the 8.2 inch vented discs and KAD calipers are needed. Easily get away with 7.9 and solid discs. Stop driving like a girl and drive it like you stole it. When driving hard on the country lanes, your on the brake alot and i started to lose confidence in them afted a good run out. I've upgraded to 10.25" vented disc, not so much for the extra cooling but rather for the lower pedal effort for the same braking force. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

hmm, for a fan tis a lot of money, this is somthing that I would expect to be made from genuine carbon fibre (or even fibreglass/ plastic) a 14 kg billet is a bit exxesive for a glorified wheel trim.
