honestly with as little info as this you wont get many takers. due to the nature of it being a diy ecu ....... unless it can be proven to be built by a reputable seller.

That looks like a very old unit
If you could open it up we could tell what it is although im gonna guess ms1
With trigger wheel, sensor bracket, coilpack and loom
I think its hard to value (imo) the parts alone probably worth upto £100 but the ecu realisticaly needs some one who knows how to play with it and then they would probably want ms2e/ms3x capabilities

Let us tell you what it is then ebay it imo is the best way to gain its true value

As per the others, impossible to say without details and pics of what's inside.

However, that most definitely isn't a megasquirt case.

Without a reason why, or a picture of the inside, it may not be a genuine megasquirt board at all.

That's an MS1 built on a V3.57 board, for ignition only.

Possibly easily upgraded to an MS2 or an all-singing, all-dancing MS3/3X *smiley*

As Paul says it's a 3.57 motherboard wired for ignition only but I don't understand the case it's in - unless it's a very early design that I've never seen, the MS cases simply aren't like that.

To upgrade to an MS2 or MS3 would need the current cases which are taller as the MS2 daughterboard is taller and the MS3 one taller still.

Any value IMHO would be the 3.75 board alone as the current case wouldn't take the MS2/3 duaghterboards and the rest of the stuff isn't really MS specific.

ie, you could sell all the pulley, trigger bits, coilpack etc to anyone using MJ etc.

And, sorry, no idea of the value of the 3.57 board alone if it's second hand.
As said, try eBay.

It's got to be worth more than a secondhand Mejajolt.

Lot's of potential uses and it's the factory built board, not the DIY version. Even the jumpers and the second high current ignition driver look very professionally installed.

With the pulley others bits and pieces it's got to be worth £75.

So it would be good for mapped ignition on a basic turbo engine then?

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

Yes.
People often build an MS for ignition first and only add injection later.
Configured like this one it doesn't even need an EDIS module.
Also lots more data logging possible than early MJs.

The software (programme) for your PC/laptop is "TunerStudio" (just google it) nowadays for all megasquirt versions.
The free version is "Lite" and probably all you need for ignition and simple stuff. The paid for version has a lot more but you probably only need the extras for messing with fuel injection.

If your PC/laptop is old enough to have a genuine RS232 (DB9) serial port it's just a straight cable, if your's is newer (which it probably is if it's W7) you just need a USB/RS232 convertor - try to get an FTDI chipset version, some of the cheaper chipsets can be a pain.
TunerStudio works with all windows versions (and there are versions for some of the other OS's as well), W7 will not be a problem despite the MS1 itself being quite old.

Download TunerStudio Lite and set up a dummy project for a generic MS1 and have a play.
The MS1 configurations and tables are - IMHO - a bit old and clunky compared to how an MS2 or MS3 is programmed, but that is just my opinion.

Brett, I found a genuine, full-height MS case... I can't find the screw, but might it be any use to you?

£5 posted? Had another look for screws, but they long gone.

EDIT: I said full height, but I actually think you'd need a taller one for MS3 ??? This came with an MS2 kit.
