After 5yrs of being on the road I have decided to take the mini off the road to sort out the motor.. was going to fit twin 1 1/2 HIF su's....But have been given a turbo set up by a friend who I've done a lot of work for.. so I have decided to turbo...

More to follow. ..

I was told "once you've had a turbo you'll never go back"

Good luck with the build and dont be afraid to ask questions, BUT be ready for all sorts of replies, some inforamtional and some funny.

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

stripped the engine out

got this to fit

had to remove the weber box

removed the heater and moved wiring

cut out for the turbo box, having a bigger box to allow for ease of access

I still get surprised how much a car changes with just a colour change.

Looks like your getting stuck in anyway

The split colour scheme makes it look very different

Yes makes a big difference just changing the colour.... may go darker green and purple roof.... Green goblin........

It's a big cut out due to removing the weber box aswell.... think I might keep it big though for easy access..... may have the
back removable aswell so it's easier to get to the turbo and exhaust..

Borrowed 1293 Sprites Mig welder and partly welded in the turbo box this afternoon, box is slightly short at the top so I will need to put a small plate inside to weld body and box too , apart from that it's looking good..
