Hi guys this is my very first post.

I have started turning my 1275mini into a 1293 turbo beast! "well at least I hope it's a beast"
I have most the parts I need just need to put in the hours.

I have done quite a bit so far but I'll start from the beginning.

I'm looking forward to comments good and bad as I'm new to turbos.

one day boost will be mine!

oven cleaner is the dogs for cleaning engine bits, careful not to get too much water and cleaner inside the box tho! Oil up afterwards

i thought you had stole my mini then, mine was red + de-bumpered with sportspack arches lol

I manage to buy two metro turbo engines complete apart from boxes off my mate from work £200 bargain anyday.

Here's my garage ATM I'm jumping a bit but only boring stuff like stripping and cleaning.

All the shiny bits did not come like that, they have been in storage for 9 years so as you can imaging wire wool and wet and dry came in handy, a fresh lick of paint makes a hell of a difference.

So far the plan is

1293 standard turbo, duplex, after market turbo cam, stage 3 head.
And anything else I can get my hands on.

Really want a straight cut box but there mega money.

Oh not to forget centre main strap and x pin diff!

Some goodies in the post

Iv been going at this for two weeks so have quite a bit done.
Problem with finding piston rings no one seems to make +20 rings any more.

However mini speed are the light at the end of the tunnel sent off an old ring for them to match.

Rite then cylinder head. It was grose, rust oil, cobwebs & cat piss.

cant beat a bit of cat piss will give you at least an extra 10bhp along with all the red paint
