Hi everyone.
Here's my Mini which I've been building and rebuilding for the last 9 years.

It is sadly lacking in the engine department...... I have had this on an engine stand for quite some time now along with a VMAXSCART supercharger kit ready to fit.

I have seen the light, the SC kit is for sale, now going Turbo.
:)

In the next few days I will be building the bottom end. I will post up my Engine spec, all comments welcome.

That looks a nice car, as Mr benross would say, once you go turbo you never go back.

It looks lovely. Could do with being a little more brown.

Change of plan with the spec. All the same except the custom manifold and GT17 won't now be happening.
Any thoughts on a Mirage manifold with a GT1548. I've done a search and all I could discover was that the GT15 Turbo is slightly on the small side, but low lag and easy to package. However I seem to recall reading on here way back that Turbo Dave had great results with a T2, around 180 bananans iirc. I would be happy with that. Thoughts please??

I've been looking at the gt1548 recently and get hte impression its the modern day version of the T2. Ill be running a T2 instead simply because its all I can afford atm

Right too much lazyness here. I've eventually built my engine, pics to follow but I'm stuck with the clutch. I have decided to go RTS. Need a new flywheel. I will be going to have a front radiator so I don't want a pre engaged starter with the solonoid in the way. Can you get Verto flywheels with Inertia ring gear?
What are you guys using?

Yes you can, early metros where inertia. Or you could buy a new one and specify what you get with it.

if your getting a new one anyway do what apbellamy sais but if not you can swap ring gears yourself.
