Only about 5/6 weeks away now, i cant wait for it, the only shows i really look forward to each year now are the riv, avon park and retro cars aswell now after last year.

So who else is going down then? i'm aiming to have my car back on the road for then but i'll be there somehow anyway. got me caravan all booked up and ready.

We're going, but not taking the mini, as it wont be finished :(

One of you guys need's to take Nicky out in your cars, she's never been in a turbo mini. :)

yeah i should indeed be going down again this year.

we should organise abit of a turbo meet up before the drive on sunday, then all the turbos can go out in convoy

one of you pair from chinnor wouldnt happen to know chris oakman would you? if so i think we were talking to you last year at the riv, green turbo mini i think it was?

i was just running my engine in last yeah but now ive got my intercooler etc in and it all set up properly

matty's was the white one with the 10" wellas that was parked next to mine, it was in N/A form last yeah tho.

yeah i remember you were running it in still, didnt stop you ragging it though....lol

i was in me moms 998 cos mine had failed the MOT, but all being well i'll be down there in my turbo this year aswell.

i was being very careful running that engine in!!
it was bloody frustrating driving all that way trying to vary the speed between about 40 and 60mph and not pushing it any quicker!!

i'll have to keep an eye out for u and have a little look round ur car!

Ok, what's the plan for the meet up?

I'll be with a mate who would love to be taken out in a turbo mini, and of course, nicky needs a ride in one.. Any volunteers to do the driving?

18 working days left. Between dreaming of the frog and my first (again) riding lesson this weekend, I can't stop thinking about it!! I can't wait!

We should meet at the Reading services.

Me n Wes will be in convoy, I'll try n post some pics of my mini, so you'll know what to look out for!

Im up for giving some rides when were down there.
im gonna have to higher my mini a bit though before i go as those speed humps are a piss take!!

The other day i noticed that every time i crossed the white line in the middle of the road my car kept making a knocking noise, I couldn't work out what the noise was for ages untill i realised that it was the cateyes catching my exhaust!!

i'll be meeting up with the convoy at gordano services, i gotta go to spams first thing in the morning for an RR tune :)

I'm on a mission to have mine ready for the riv run, currently the block and head are on my bench, the box is in northampton, diff has just arrived at my house, flip front is now hinged aswell.

got a big list of things still to do, but at least this year my MOT is at the end of may so it cant fail the day before the riv again

I'm up for taking people out for a blast aswell, i'll be there all week anyway.

I'm going with T2clubby, trouble is we left it too late toi get a van for the whole week so we gotta camp the weekend then in a van monday till friday

i really didnt want to camp again after the last 2 years though.

Quality should be a good laugh.

Yeah i hate camping but after piss up in town it kinda numbs the back pains in the morning!

Mine needs an MOT before then so hopefully things will go smoothly, like they always do with minis!

We ususally get to the services around 8.30 ish to make sure we get a plaque.

Is everyone going out on the saturday night, to the clubs?

3 weeks 2 days and counting!
ive made a note of your number aswell Alex so wel give u a shout when we get to reading.
as matt says wel be aiming for about half 8 but no doubt wel be late!

ive gotta try and squeeze in an MOT and a RR tune before we go! dont think il leave it quite as late as the day of the run tho!

Can anyone let me know a bit more info on this? i want to go as its the first year ive had my min ready for it but i havent seen any knews on it, which weekend is it? and how many people are camping, my mini probably wont be turboed by then but im gunna go anyway, whats the easiest route to take from northamton to get to reading services?

Down the M1 I guess.
