after a rubbish day at work and a rubbish job after

i then get a rubbish drive home

just coming out on the the a12 after nice warm up up to speed and bang and then massive misfire leaves me on the side of the road waiting for the aa


i finaly get home to have a quicklook as to what the problem is take the plugs out 4 ok 3 ok 2 ok 1.....



this was all the time i had wednesday night so set to it thursday to take it out and see what happend
and this is that i found

so time for a rebuild i guess....

but thank god i had not got my new sccr gearbox and new lsd on it was supposed to be going in this weekend

well i have 3 10cc omega pistons and one pebbledashed one


to add insult to injury everything showed the engine was running spot on the plug colour is spot on and next to no build up or oil on pistons such a shame but hay nothing i can do now :(

I'm sure someone on here is looking for a 10cc omega if you fancy recouping some of your losses.

how has it got soo many scraped in the piston? did you keep driving it with a valve bouncing around?

gutted mate just means you have to come back with a bigger better engine

The valve let go at 4-4.5k at 70ish so hit the clutch to see if it was something gear box realised it was not eased of and it rattles so then hit nutural and coasted to a stop. I'm gutted too but gonna have to make somethin even better now got a nice gearbox LSD and nice turbo that's good for 200bhp just waiting there so got to make something to compliment them. il be making a thred on that soon to get opinions but it should be nice.

ah right, nice :) dont forget to check your conrods incase it might have bent it a bit.

are the guides worn at all on that head ?, that can sometimes cause a valve head to drop off .

In the 13's at last!.. Just

The engines had covered 15k and was running sweet as just prior so I don't know. I religiously Check valve gaps oil and plugs to keep an eye for anything going amiss so I don't know. And the engine has never been over reved as there is no point turbo runs out of puff at 5.5-6k so might as well change.

I'm hoping I haven't bent things but hay if it's bent maybe get some sc h beam jobbies but I will have to see and check funds.
