Certainly different, vicars mentions suck through set ups in the yellow book. Not seen one in a mini though. Supposed. To increase lag slightly - be interesting to see if this is the case

Deffinatly different.
Are you not worried that you might melt the plastic cover thing in the middle where all the wires go?

This setup gives me the horn

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

drop the height and use a bike carb you could then use a smaller inlet to reduce the possibility of icing?

I really don`t mean to be negative,,, i just feel that your exhaust manifold (2nd hand cut down std-ish extractors) are going to crack apart fairly quickly i suggest,,, are you planning on re-making them in something a bit more suitable-reliable-stronger in the future?

I`m all for making things work for not much money,,, because i don`t have much money myself,,, most of the time i`m quite broke actually,,, so i applaude your enthusiasm,,, but these things (turbo manifolds) are usually/generally made from steam pipe or other such more top-quality stuff to help resist the heat & resonance cracking them up in no time

Just my thoughts & i`m quite surprised no one else mentioned it so far actually

or am i terribly wrong?,,, if so, then i`ll just crawl back into the hole in my bum (again) *smiley*

id guess that this is an experiment and if it proves successful he would redo it from scratch. he did say it was for a laugh.

the welding looks to a good enough standard to me (seen much worse) and i would say it would last long enough for testing, and longer if it was braced allowing for expansion.

I've said it som many times and been ignored that I've given up. Learning by experience in this matter seems the only way.

Is the rad fan ad cowl going to fit behind the carb? Looks very close.

will the fuel distribution to the cylinders not be affected by the inlet angle?

how are you going to feed the carb? surely not hot air from the rad?

Good point Joey.

Even if the MPI rad he's planning will allow for clearance issue, the area is still gonna be fairly hot.

Bike carbs seems a better idea.

What about suck through, they still need fuel pressure regulator, right ?

I don't know about the paint you used for your manifold but if it is not a high temperature stuff it will cook and smell really bad ...

The carb is suck through remember. It might need a pressure regulator, but not a boost sensitive one.

I'm eventually doing the same thing on my 1300, why not use Metro manifold like people before?
