This time in two weeks we should be down at Avon Park (or somewhere on the M6 heading south).

Are we possibly over optimistic that his Clubman Estate will be there? This is it at about 9pm tonight.



Other than paint and refiting everything it is mechanically ready to go. Should be OK I think. Hopefully get it primed and possibly painted this weekend and built up next weekend.

I got the engine and box back in my Mk 1 last weekend, so other than a bit of setting up and an MOT we should be good to go.

Nothing like a bit of pressure to focus the mind.

Looks finished to me. Fit rear doors, glass and door handles, then all you need is to close the bonnet. Jobs a good one.

appart from fitting everything back together, I've still got to seal the exhaust, fit a bulkhead closer and a few other bits mechanically.

It all depends what else you are doing on those two weeks, I would say.

Well what can I say, it's green.

Have to admit I'm not too happy with the finish, with hindsight I could have done with better light to see the paint going on, but it's nothing a bit of G3 can't fix!

Now I need to get on with my own car to get it ready for Avon. The forecast for up here is shit, so probably won't get much testing done this week.

the bumpers, grille handles will all be satin black and I'm hoping to get the original side stipes replicated in black as opposed to the original bronze.

looks like work is going to be mental again this week so i'll probably only get the weekend to build it back up
