With no other pictures other then that one, this is already going to be a build to keep an eye on.

Who did you buy it from HRE? MED?

Ive been trying to work out for ages what you were going to do next, still thought you were going K head route. Should be an interesting build.

Would he need a new crank after looking at the state of his old one?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

with the right blower and intercooler set up, this will be a killer engine! wolfie i hope you are keeping the same stroke?.

have you any pics of the old crank ...... what killed it ?

John, i bought it from webcon it actually would have been cheaper to get from HRE, sadly HRE were not getting there email forms though so i bought then got a reply from Paul on here

Matty i was going to go 16v but im not as talented as you lot when it comes to fabrication i farm my fabrication to a mate and although i get "mate rate" it all still mounts up, the cost of block and piston machining and exhaust fabrication and all the other bits i cant do would work out way more costly than this, another reason was because of the amount of damage in the stroker lump if that happened again the cost would be significently higher than a straight performance bottom end, and lastly the K head just really does not seem "mini" enough daft i know as the K is far superior to any A series based head but i like it that way

Nice one Neil,

Any problems I had along the way i'll post as I remember them,

main ones were getting the fuel rail under the std bonnet, and the plug depth.

If you've got a glass bonnet it will be easier as there are no cross braces, plus the inlet "manifold" is shorter on your head.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

not moved on as far as i would have liked, so far built up a "dummy engine" basically a block and gearbox with no guts its really light and can be lifted in and out at will, new pistons and oil pump have turned up and will be ordering the rest once i get paid again

The dummy lump with head and the trumpets carl machined for me
