Rolling road event - south west In Car tech update

myself and a few mates have orgainsed a Rolling road session, just to have a couple of power runs, do some bragging / crying dependant on results...and generally have a good day out...its looking to be in 2 or 3 weeks time dependant on getting the booking and depsotis in

we are all from the swindon area so are hitting a RR in bristol, which has a good reputation on the cupra net forum previosuly being used on RR day shootouts... im the only mini going so am after a couple more for some support and to hold up things on the small turbo engine side of things. we are all meeting and convoying down there early, so this obviosuly this i aimed at the the more local members.
its £35 for 2 runs, will be £30 if we get more than 10 which its lookng like we will easily enough..and will need £10 deposit by friday/ saturday.
so far we have the following cars and each car owners estimated /hoped for bhp levels (just so i can name and shame a few blaggers after lol

Focus Rs turbo (280bhp
stage 2 Leon cupra r (285bhp
ibiza cupra (200bhp
astar gsi turbo (290bhp
series 2 escort rs (220bhp
punto gt (200bhp
honda s2000 (??
mini turbo (god knows umm 115bhp :)
possibly ibiza turbo on a proven 293 bhp if he feels like showing off , but would be def be worth seeing

oh and oli ,jamie read the owner of the leon cupra has put in a special request for your attendance :) he said youd remember who he was and wants to see the mini action

Would be happy to participate, although I wont be going if it clashes with Brooklands on Sun 28th Mar.

Have just remapped the spark map on my Megasquirt so would be good to see if its made a difference than my last 127 nanas on 17 October at the TM RR Day.

For the money, I'd want to see a print of power and torque plus AFR please.

sounds good.....but northampton was FAR for me....

we've got confirmed date of sat 10th april..ill post up full details of the company we'll be using once i get the details from my mate at lunch. we have 7 confirmed cars booked in and hopefully richard is getting invoved aswell so 2 turbo minis so far

ok the name of the Rolling road we are using is SOUTHWEST IN CAR TECH
the RR is practically brand new as it was only installed and calibrated a couple mths ago, so should be pretty spot on

If there is any more space would a honda CRX would be welcome? I'd like to get that on a rolling road.

Yeah may be interested, just couple of questions tho... (not done a RR session with others)

Will they give us some feedback during/ after the runs to help us tune it?
Will we get a print out?

H i dan yeh an N/a is more thna welcome, weve got a really mixed lot of cars going in al states of tune so bring it along..and feel free to join to convoy down there
as richard says it seems a very proffesional venue, so they should be happy to point you in the right direction if your car needs any tweaks etc, its mostly why im taking mine down there, to see how its running and to get some fine tuning advice.

so youll get 2 runs and a printout of the best run, itll show bhp/torque and hoepfuly airfuel reading...even if your car is fuelling badly or has problems and they have to abort the run youll still get to have aprint out of the run to see where the problems are.

im going to confirm this alittle later but as we have already booked in and paid deposits on 7 cars they may let us add the extar few cars and not pay till the day ..we would have more than 10 cars now so the price drops to £30

right ive confirmed with the rolling road that now we've booked i nthe initial 7 cars its ok for us to add extar cars and for the m to pay o nthe day, we just need to let them know numbers as each person confirms they are attending.
so Dan ...minimole..and richard your all sorted to pay on the day.

our session starts at 10am so we will be there about 9:30...dan if you drop me a pm with your mobile number i can sort out with you closer to the time about meeting up with the convoy.

feel free to head along rob, let me know if youd lie kto get in on the RR , even if you dont get your car o nthe rollers itll be worth coming to see the reults, as weve got a really varied group of cars attending

we will all be meeting some where about 8:30 to head down, so will get a meeting destination up alittle closer to the time and arrange who wants to meet us there and who wants to come for the drive.
