hey all, anyone up for a rolling road shootout?

im just trying to gauge interest at the moment

ive got collins rollers in erdington lined up at £15 a car

for that you get at least one power run with a printout. drinks and food will be provided

im thinking around the end of febuary start of march date wise

let me know guys

yes definately, need to get mine back to collins as a decent comparison from the old turbo.

the sooner the better if poss :)

too early for me - car isnt taxed until April.

Hi, I also organised a rolling road session at Colins last year. He did a good job was very friendly and was great value. I wouldn't mind testing my GTi again as I've taken off a few bits and wondering if they were making any difference to the performance anyway.

Hi, count me in, I'm from Solihull, just up the road. Touch wood my supercharged project car will be finished by then. Failing that is a non forced induction car welcome to take part ?. As I have a 1340 mini van as well.

hi yes sounds good and totally agree colin is very welcoming and friendly and always puts on a good spread

na cars are more than welcome guys, i think i randomly turned up halfway through your shootout mandy i have a yellow and black clubman if this helps.

am i right in thinking that NICK , SUPERCHARGER , 1380RICH are definates and METROMANDY , PHILC are possibles?

I'm a definite :) be good to give it a run after the winter

balls, ive just been down to collins and things arnt looking good, due to a slow period and the problem with banks hes having to sell the rolling road.

does anyone know of a good rolling road in the midlands?

there are a few that are pretty close to coventry, i think there is one in coventry! hi tech in oldbury, aldon, there is a rolling road off the stratford road in solihull but not sure how good they are with mini/metro a series motors

i think the place in coventry is called pro-motive

southam minimetro centre had a rolling road last time i was there

race shak down gloscester way-i think

Try TTP in Bromsgrove, good motorway access.

Oh dear! Thats terrible news about Colin :(. Most rolling roads charge double his rates. Great guy too :(

Hope we can get another sorted. I know one of the guys at Aldon. I think they charge about £35 though. I'll chase it up and see what the group rates are.

A Mini v Metro shootout would be great!

ah bollocks, has he sold it already? i neeed to get mine back on his as a comparison from my last engine.

he has it on ebay at the moment, as far as i know the listing finishes on monday but im not sure when he plans on pulling the rollers out of the floor. chances are il be helping him do it though

i think hes planning on puting a swiming pool / hot tub in the hole for the summer
