Well over the last few months I have been deliberating about what route to go with My Mk1, the way I seen it was that I had a few options open to me,

sounds very similar to my car its an ex historic racer, but i'm doing a mild turbo install, will be watching this build sounds right up my street! Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

Sounds good. Same principle that I'm working to - fast road mini that will still be relativly competitive on the track and strip. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

4.1 on 10's.
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

4.1 on 10s is great with 1380 but with that long stroke youll break the crank, sounds a great project though
I seriously doubt it! |

Ive seen a 40B 86 crank break because of a 4.1 diff on 10s Paul I seriously doubt it! |

8k on a 4.1 and 10s is 108mph. Why wouldn't that be enough? On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

I seriously doubt it! |

FD is a very subjective thing. Just because you think it is, doesn't necessarily make it so On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

Not saying my word is the be all end all, but I do know from experience. Besides a 1480 will have enough torque to pull a 3.7 or 3.9 better
I seriously doubt it! |

I'm changing the diff in my racer this winter from a 3.9 to a 4.1...... I never rev more than 7500 at the moment on the fastest track. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

I agree Vegard I have driven and raced in cars with both 3.9's and 4.1, on the track I have always felt the 3.9 was to long legged and on the road never noticed the difference between 3.9 and 4.1 one as I rarely go over 60 on the road.

That's Fair enough Joe but tbh I have little or no intrest in speeding off the track, On the track now that is a different story On 17th Feb, 2009 Rob H said:
