Do you use the A+ 998 ones or are they the same?
I seriously doubt it! |

Use standard 1098 or 998 rods, they are both the same. A+ probably better.

A ones are better than A+ as they are fully floating small ends. However, the A+ rod bolts are better. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

That's a good point. You will need the early A+ rods with the bushes for the fully floating pins.

You can get ARP bolts from Minispares, but out of stock at the moment.

As a point of note I have been told if you get the +80's from aus for the 998's they have holes not slots. Edited by gr4h4m on 12th Oct, 2009. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

They have actually machined each side of the big end which does not show up well in that picture. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

Rods are the same, pistons have the shorter compression height. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

From calculations it is 3mm shorter in compression height.
