yeah nice job, was going to point out the shell was not Mk1 but has been done. the front bulkhead overlaps the wrong way for a mk1 :)

hi all it is a mk1 i got it for £150 it was going to be sent to the scrap yard the old boy stripped it out in 1980 odd and the shell was sat out the back of his house. but in has shed was all the bits so i sold it all on for a lot of cash but the down side it needed a front end (as they wasn't one) a hole floor and boot floor to it is a mk1 it has the small window in the back and the piano hinges on the 1/4 lights

and there is lots more bit and bobs no it i cant think of it all now o and i swift alternator which came today it was £6 brand new in the box tiptop it is a LUCAS LRA549 if any one interested I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Some bits look Mk1 (rear panel where the lights go, hole in the bulkhead for heater hose, door hinges and internal bins obviously) but I wouldn't get hung up about having to replace the rotten stuff with newer shaped bits - I'm using the latest sills with my earlier shell..... because they are better !!!!

yes mate it does it fits in sum holes which are at the front of the frame you make them bigger then weld in the bushes and fit i can email you the instructions if you like I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf
