Here's a few pics of my metro turbo which I gave a quick pressure wash off on sunday.

Engines out because im rebuilding it as you might have read in my other posts.



Excuse the boot, Its rusted in the one corner I've got a mint one to go on tho



A few parts got a few more and got stuff on the way

Boost gauge holder I made using vent

That is remarkably rust free for the early Metro shells....

My donor was a "D" reg MG (NA, not turbo) so only three years older and it was rotten throughout.

Good luck with it, you seem to have a sound shell to be working with...

that must be one of the last metro turbo's as the fuel filler is high up on the body instead of inside a low down flap.

I've done a tiny amount of welding on the floors and seat belt mounts. My metro gta had quite abit of rust.

Im on metroownersclub might post them up and yes it is a late one

i see you found a place for the boost gauge, a friend of mine has a metro turbo with a boost gauge in the same place, but he got the blanking plate from a low spec metro that fits there and cut the gauge into it. very clean looking car! very nice.

Few more pics. I still need to put the diff into the box then I can carry on.

Got 99% of parts now just need some intercooler piping, breathers and what ever else I've forgoten

This weekend I managed to get the engine on the mounts, put the drive shaft in and other bits like the gear linkages.

hopefully fire it up end of next weekend

Quite close to MOT now.

Car is running could not get it in gear due to the primary gear sticking, wont make that mistake again lol
