Found this on the web, an alloy reproduction of the factory crossflow heads used on the 1968 LeMans sprite and the 69 and 70 12-hour Sebring and 24 hour Daytona Sprites (obviously would fit a Mini to). This is what (Roger Williams) the guy who reproduces these head had to say:

very odd desgin on the inlets very diffrent from the Arden 8 port and the minisport 7 port. mite be alittle tricky to make an inlet that would fit under standard bonnet. webbers would be a tight fit. |

You historyless ignorant Mini-people. Webers will never fit without a bulge. They used Tecalemit or Lucas FI on this on Minis.

The inlets are however FAR superior to the Arden design though. trust me, Vegard is most probably 100% right on this matter, as he has an uncanny nack of nowing everything you never really needed to now about old minis |

will be due to the straighter flow into the cylinders which allow it to flow so well, with out having to go around a radius theres going to be little difference in speed

I'm sure it's the alloy block with the 4 intakes coming off it. You can see the throttle linkages going across the front of the block to the injection metering pump and the throttle block. I've think seen the same setup on a DVF Cosworth engine? VEMs Authorised Installer / Re-seller. K head kits now available!

Here a pic of the chambers, I would be interested to know the standard cc, and also how much the chambers can be open up. I’m dropping Roger Williams a mail today to request some more info and pics.

Here’s another shot of the head in situ, although I would have preferred a shot from the other side of the engine compartment. Check out those throttle bodies!
