460 flows around 460cc per min (numbers is a coincidence) and 123 flows around 300cc/min (google it to be sure) and also has a slower response...

I knew what you meant Dev.

These don't flow as much as the 460's, and have a slower response. Put them back on the 'bay' - but give information on the flow characteristics first. If you PM Jimster he'll tell you what they are flowwise, as he's running the same ones in his 8-port motor......

I've seen Rover injectors with red rings described as from the T16 engine.

Do we know which of the above have the red rings?

I tried to get some more MPI injectors at MITP today. I found two MPI inlet manifolds, throttle bodies etc. One guy wanted £85 and the other £100*frown*

So i've resorted to finding alternatives.

The 460's have blue rings. I know that for a fact.

Jimster/Dave,

Thanks.

As I'm only looking for around 120 hp from my 998, I think four of the 123s will be big enough, particularly if I raise the fuel pressure a bit.

I haven't tested the 123's - but I'd assume that they are an older generation injector that won't be as fast response as we need for injecting a 5-port A-series...

Axel, 120HP from a 998.................really?? I was going to supercharge and inject (using 2 460's) a 998 but was reckoning on a 100 at most.

What mods are you making to the bottom end?? Just a centre main cap or anything else special?!?!?!?

Others on this site have achieved 140 hp from a turbo 998.

I'm planning on a relatively standard bottom end with the addition of a centre main strap at most.

The thing is, you do not need to run high revs to achieve this sort of power with a turbo. Being an old man, I'll probably never go over 6000rpm. The stresses are more rev related than power related.

140 from a 998, thats just awesome!!!!

Thats it, Im gonna try and get over 100HP now with a supercharger on a 998. Absolutely mental! Im guessing that they just rev nice n freely though rather than drive like pigs

Read the section on 998s. There are a lot of us doing this.

You should easily get 100hp from 15psi boost, 120hp with an intercooler. I think you will need to cam it for more.

Having recently driven my lads 998, it does rev freely and is smoother than the wifes 1275.
